This show boasts attendees from all fifty states as well as attendees from over one hundred different countries.

For over thirty five years, the SHOT show has been the ‘go-to’ show to see the newest and most innovative advances in the world of guns as well as some oldies but goodies. It is usually a shorter discussion to ask what is NOT shown at the show instead of what IS. You want to know what is going on in the industry, then you need to be there in 2013! “Firearms and accessories manufacturers display their products for an audience of licensed dealers, law enforcement professionals, and the media. The SHOT Show is the preferred venue to introduce new products, and the quantity of exciting new gear can be mind-boggling.

Back in 1979, the first show boasted a total 4700 attendees, while the most recent show saw a whopping 61,017! That is a real testament to the need for this kind of exhibit and the hunger in the market for knowledge about guns, knives, and other self-defense paraphernalia.
While it was a kind of handguns galore extravaganza, there was also a large collection of knives, flashlights, pens (made from rifle cartridges!), targets etc. available. You name it, it was on display! The Zombie 3D reactive targets were hard to miss at the show. As a fun and engaging way to spice up yout target practice, the zombie’s come with a bleeding option. While these interesting targets are not cheap, they are very effective in providing a dimensional target to practice on as well as fun diversion to break up practice sessions.
No matter what, the SHOT show is an annual event that is sure to open your eyes to new options and information that will help you in all your defense efforts.
